Hi everyone . . .

Dec 22nd.
It is still snowing, BIG flakes coming down steady . . . The snow blower will get a work out today.. It looks like Bruce and family are not out of the woods yet.. snow forecast for the next few days all the way through Christmas.. Our weather is the same but clearing on Monday and Tuesday... we have at least a 18" to 24" of snow and more coming. Be safe out there......

I'm still trying to master this blog thing .. so you will get it in pieces until I do.. So if you get double pictures just delete one set...

Rea misplace her temple Recommend and needs to get an other one since we have to work in the temple on Sat after Christmas. the temple will be closed from Jan 1st too the 20th. They are replacing the carpet and seats in the endownment rooms and the veil room. They have replaced the greenish lights on the towers with white ones. It stands out and looks much better.

Well it's almost Christmas and we are ready for it and hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and remember why we celebrate the birth of our Savior and all the blessings that brings to us and our families. Stay close to the gospel and listen to the living prophet President Monsen.

Well, I've rattled on and will close with my love to and for each of you and your families. We now have 30 grand children and 18 Greatgrand children and we love each and every one.

This is Craig the great "Wasp Hunter". I missed putting this picture in the last update. He also put the Christmas Lights up and mowed all the lawns and found where the wasps were coming in and pluged it up so we have'nt had a wasp in our windows since...Debbi vacuumed
all the upstairs and the stairs and went shopping with mom and she
spent alot of time on the phone on our programable thermostat and
then programed it ..And she is copying a bunch of music records to CDs.

Many thanks to you two.....

The weather has been great . .We worked in the yard, cleaning flower beds, got the hoses
in, turned off the water ( it's been in the low 30's and high 20's this past week) Cut the grass short, will rototill the garden, cleaned up the frozen tomato plants. The Doctor told me to take it easy for a while after the surgery and gave me the ok this weekend. Rea has been out working while I've been told (Rea) to take it easy. . . Not fun !! We have been blessed and are still able to remain active... well I'll send this installment and hope it goes as I sent it.. Love Dad.

Update on events in our life....

Unfinished business . . .Here are the rest of the children .

When I was practicing getting pictures onto the blog, pictures of Bruce, Debbie and Chris just happened to be with in reach. Denise said that we had more children than three... so here are "the rest of the" Children...

Jeffrey Paul at 6 months.

Denise at 6 months.

Janelle at 1 year

Debbie and Craig came up to help us get ready for winter and did many things. One was to install a programable thermostat. Here Craig and I are trying to figure out the wiring numbering system.

Got it !!!!

As most of you know, I had a Basal cell Carcinoma (skin cancer) on my left temple. I had removed on Wednesday the 8th of October. The procedure was
what they call MOHS Micrographic Surgery. It involves taking out part of the growth, examine it, mapping it and taking more of the tissue if needed. I had to have a repeated procedure to get all the cancer roots out. The second procedure proved cancer free.

This is the before picture.

This after the second procedure. The ink lines
are for the skin flaps for plastic surgery to cover the wound. (I have now had a face lift..)

Right after I got home . . .

Two days after surgery. . .

Three days after surgery. . .with two black eyes and some brusing on my chin..

I can now smile, kind of. I'll be glad when the swelling goes down. I see the Doctor next Wednesday.. He is a member of the Dry Canyon Ward and lives close to us up here on the hill.

So that is all that is happened in our lives...

P.S. It Snowed this morning uuugh. Love Dad.

56th Wedding Anniversary

This is the famous LaBeau's Sweet Shop that has wonderful Fresh Raspberry shakes and hamburgers..

Fall colors in Logan Canyon.

Beautiful Clouds over the Mountains....

We celebrated our 56th wedding anniversary going out to Bear Lake and enjoying a Raspberry shake and hamburger. And enjoying the colorful mountains. We remembered back on October 2nd 1952 when we were sealed to each other with all our future children. We had to be at the temple at 7:00 am. That meant Rea's parents had to get up at 3:30 am to milk the cows. We remember bits and pieces of the temple endownment session.

We had our wedding luncheon at the Blue Bird restaurant because it was the only one in town..

Update on the Parental Units....

We have been busy cleaning up the yard for the up coming winter.... The fall colors are starting in the canyons and its getting rather cool in the mornings and it's not too far from the pictures below. ughhhhhh. We can still function with the yard work, shopping, cleaning the house and windows, reading, watching TV , checking our E-mail and of course taking naps.... Rea keeps busy with her Stake Relief Society. The Stake Primary President and Young Women's President, both from pur Ward were released in the last two weeks.. They were called the same time as Rea.. ?? We see if she gets a call from the Stake President to "come to my office."

Thanks Sarah for the help with our blog.. I can even get pictures in our updates....

Love, Dad
